Windows Test Infrastructure Administrator - Contract

Our leading financial client based in Brussels have a 6mth rolling contract for a Test Infrastructure Administrator

Your role:

In the projects and maintenance, developed in Brussels, Paris and London, the candidate will be responsible of the coordination, set-up and support of the infrastructure required for integration and acceptance environments. These environments host multi-tier, multiplatform (Windows, AIX, Linux, Mainframe, Tandem, Sun) applications.

Your profile:

The ideal candidate will have 5 years experience in a distributed platform (Windows, AIX Unix) in a comparable environment.

Skills:

Windows and Unix are mandatory
Mainframe and Tandem are an asset.
Technical expertise in testing, windows infrastructure, .Net, VB6, WebSphere, MQ/Series, VMWare and a generic IT knowledge will be appreciated. The position requires to be a team player, committed to quality, with good verbal and written communication. English is mandatory

This position is for an initial 6 months starting in April. Market competitive salary.

Finance Business Analyst, Brussels - Contract

Your Role

You will be joining the Corporate Technology Division and be part of Cost Management. Your mission is to provide support to control the budget in man-days for CT.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Monitor the monthly spend in man-days for the CT division.
Report actual costs versus budget on a monthly basis.
Analyse the gaps and justify to the Cost Centre managers where needed.
Drive the end of month reporting cycle for man-days and ensure a quality review of the demand - Analyse the gaps between the demand and supply and report it to Management.
Take part to the quarterly performance reviews
Be actively involved in the improvement of tools & workflow.

Role:

The Distributed Middleware and Frameworks team designs, develops, supports, and operates the tools that enable the integration of business applications with operating systems within distributed environments.
Part of this integration layer includes technical frameworks, ie sets of API/classes which, based on functional requirements, isolate business applications from the system and Middleware changes, ensure the applications access the Middleware in a uniform way, and ensure the operability of the solutions by enforcing security, scalability, availability, alerting, and manageability requirements.
We are looking for someone astute, hands on and delivery oriented.
For team members we value open minded individuals, also capable of building upon they past experience to swiftly integrate our existing team and work environment (systems, procedures, infrastructure and code base).
The job is larger than a usual analyst - developer role: the team members participate in the verification of the requirements; then to the analysis and the implementation of the solution. They also take care of the integration, the customisation (non functional requirement) and testing of the framework - the testing of the final solution (Business Application) is done by another team. The candidate will support the Development, Test and Production environments.
The candidate should also be service-minded and have good communication skills.
Working as part of a small agile team, the person will be adept at quickly understanding the problems and opportunities presented, be able to devise innovative solutions, produce specifications and technical designs and then see the designs through into well engineered software.

Key responsibilities will include:

Working with our Technical Domain Owner and other business application developer to devise most suitable solutions
Produce system specification and documentation
Produce software design, development and testing
Support application: handling queries, bug fixing, work package delivery
Produce source code - help setup, contribute and maintain a centralized software code, components, and tools for reuse across other projects/frameworks.
Be proactive in acquiring industry specific knowledge as applicable to domain. eg read industry press, cross-learn from colleagues
